Weather Watch: No Jan. 31 Activities

We are closely monitoring the next round of winter weather expected this weekend for our area. Based on the forecast and after consulting with local emergency teams, all extra-curricular activities for Saturday, Jan. 31, have been canceled.

Any decision concerning our Monday school schedule will be shared with families no later than Sunday evening through email/text messages, our websites, social media, and local media stations. If you are not receiving our direct messages, please check your contact information in the Parent Portal.

    I truly love what I do as a nurse! From 1995 to 2022, I worked at Piedmont Athens Regional in a variety of specialties, including orthopedics, endoscopy, float pool, interventional radiology, and the infusion center. My Interest in school nursing grew after becoming the mother of a medically fragile child, which gave me a deep appreciation for the unique role school nurses play. I began my journey with Barrow County Schools as the nurse at Statham Elementary and now serve at Haymon-Morris Middle School, where I am grateful for the opportunity to care for our students every day.
